The Matthias Family > Caleb made a special friend in Alex, who was a teen helper in his class. His new buddy Matteo also enjoyed the class a lot!
The Matthias Family > Caleb was more interested in using the binoculars from his classroom than singing!
The Matthias Family > At the end of the conference, the children performed a show for all of the adults. Here they are doing the motions for the song "We Want to See Jesus Lifted High."
The Matthias Family > Here is a picture of Corrie Mae with her teachers from “F.R.O.G. Camp,” (Fully Rely On God!) which was the theme for both the preschool (Caleb’s class) and the older group (Corrie’s class).
The Matthias Family > Each of our afternoons were free-time and we spent several of them going for walks around the grounds, enjoying the peace and quiet as well as the beautiful trees. Here Caleb walks among the trees, collecting sticks and acorns.
The Matthias Family > This is view of the “sanitorium” (like a conference center) which housed our conference. On the grounds they had an indoor (unheated) swimming pool, sauna and even tennis courts. We ate each of our meals together in a very nice dining room.
The Matthias Family > Another exciting aspect of our conference was hearing ministry updates from many of the missionaries around Ukraine. It was so encouraging to learn of all that God is doing and how he is using SEND missionaries to do it. Here, Michelle Gillespie shares about her summer ministry in Kazakstan, where she will return permanently later this year.
The Matthias Family > In addition to worship and teaching from God’s Word, our daily meetings together included testimonies from various missionaries on the Ukraine field. Monica and I shared how the Lord had brought us together and subsequently to the mission field. Here, Roberto and Carrie Rossi also share the story of God’s work and leading in their lives, and how He led them to Ukraine.
