The Matthias Family > The Rossi’s are a new family serving with SEND and just arrived in Kiev in August. Roberto and Carrie have two children, Matteo (3 years) and Lydia (3 months) and will be attending language school to learn Ukrainian. While showing the Rossi’s around the downtown area, we visited the Opera and Ballet Theater and took their picture at a monument honoring the Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko. Carrie’s parents, Don and Thea, also stayed in Kiev for 2 weeks, seeing the city and helping the family settle in their new apartment.
The Matthias Family > This monument commemorates The Great Patriotic War (WWII) and is in a small park just across the street from our new apartment.
